Used as weatherproof seals and gaskets as well as cushioning and damping applications the material is soft and conformable and is very responsive to many adhesive coatings making it an excellent sealing material.

Characteristically black in colour, it has a closed cell structure, is of medium density and manufactured to conform to ASTM-D-1056-00 2A2 It provides an excellent resistance to ozone and ultra-violet light but would not be recommended for use in an oil rich environment.

We supply this material generally in coils from 1mm thick and 1000mm wide.

We can also enhance the product by applying adhesives to one or both sides then cutting into coils, sheets, strips, pads, shapes, washers and discs.

This material is excellent for kiss cutting (padding) and is used extensively within engineering, automotive for its cushioning and gap filling properties.
