EcoZorb panels are designed to be attached directly to flat surfaces, mounted on batons (to create air gaps), hung from ceilings as baffles or used directly as space dividers in rooms and between desks. Our panels are smooth enough to even take printed patterns.

By installing the panels as wall surfaces or dividers the panels also provide an immediate surface for use as pin boards for the display of vital information, calendars, and notices.

Our panels are manufactured to a strict tolerance on thickness and weight and contain at least 60% recycled PET bottle fibre. Each square metre of EcoZorb, at 9mm thick, uses approximately 100 recycled PET drinking bottles

Ecozorb’s special construction is designed to produce a highly efficient and active area for sound absorption and dispersion. The graph below shows the performance based on testing the product as a wall panel with varying degrees of spacing between the panel and the wall.

NRC (Noise Reduction Co-efficient) reading grades sound absorption from 0 to 1, with 0 being full reflection and 1 being total absorption. For example, hard surfaces like stone, marble & metal will present very low readings close to or equal to 0 whereas readings of 0.75 and above are considered highly absorptive, examples of this would be polyester wool & certain melamine foams.

Whilst no material is 100% reflective (having an NRC 0f 0.00), some materials can have an NRC that is greater than 1.00 at certain frequencies. This is because NRC readings only account for the length and width of an object tested and not depth. By increasing the depth of a product you increase the surface area available for the sound to encounter.

This is why some of the best NRC ratings on wall panelling materials are seen when the panel is separated from the wall by either an air gap or the gap is filled with thermal insulation material or wadding.

The greater the gap, the better the NRC response.

True NRC rating needs to be established after the installation as the above results are defined under laboratory conditions and other factors such as furniture, ceilings, and fittings may affect the rate of sound reduction in any given area.

We can cut designs cleanly from our Ecozorb panels using state-of-the-art CNC knife cutting. V Grooves and bevels can enhance the appearance of our panels creating structures and wrapping concepts for more flexibility.

2420 x 1220 x 9mm thick. Simple cutting can produce standard panels of: 2420 x 610mm and 1210 x 1220mm

From there halving and quartering of flat panels will be available as well as simple edge bevelling. More detailed cutting and designing can be discussed with our office and your templates or you may wish to pick from a standard design list which we will make available shortly.
