At British Felt, we supply and convert an extensive range of closed cell foams and sponge rubbers engineered for sealing, insulation, protection and vibration control across multiple industries.

Our materials deliver exceptional performance where reliability, durability and precision are essential—ensuring a consistent seal against air, water, dust, sound, impact and vibration.

We offer a comprehensive selection of polyethylene foams, EPDM sponge rubber and cellular PVC foams, each chosen for their specialist properties including weatherproofing, waterproofing, compression recovery, thermal stability and impact absorption. With advanced in-house converting capabilities, we manufacture everything from simple strips and pads to complex CNC-cut components, coils, gaskets, discs and kiss-cut adhesive parts.

Whether you need lightweight protective cushioning, high-integrity sealing components, or precision-cut parts for engineering, automotive, HVAC, marine or construction environments, our foams and rubbers provide long-term performance trusted by OEMs and manufacturers across the UK.

Closed Cell Polyethylene Foams

We offer both Zotefoams (Plastazote) and Palziv crosslinked closed cell polyethylene foams.

These products are ideal in the manufacture of:

  1. Seals
  2. Gaskets
  3. Waterproofing
  4. Weatherproofing strips and pads
  5. Protection & cushioning products
  6. Antivibration pads, strips and discs
  7. Sound insulation mediums

We can process these parts into the following products

  1. Strips and coils both plain and self-adhesive
  2. Simple press cut components
  3. Complex CNC controlled cut components and milled products
  4. Kiss-cut self-adhesive products on reels
  5. Plain and self-adhesive sheet

Cellular PVC Foam

Our PVC foams are closed cell in structure and available in a range of densities. Normally black in colour we offer both slow and fast recovery foams.PVC foams are particularly suitable in applications where a good compression is required to make a seal. Conforming to irregular surfaces the foam provides excellent seals to air, moisture, dust and light and can also provide cushioning and shock absorption.

Our PVC foams offer fire resistance conforming to UL94 HF1 and FMVSS302

Available both in plain or self-adhesive coated with an aggressive acrylic based adhesive tape we convert this material into coils, pads, discs and shapes for a wide application base which includes:

  1. Window and door sealing
  2. Security glazing strips
  3. Automotive seals
  4. Heating and ventilation
  5. Dust seals
  6. Electronic enclosures
  7. Water and moisture seals
  8. PVC for Boat building
