Wool felt flexographic end seals
Felt flexographic end seals are proven to be effective in reducing the loss of ink from chambers, by providing close and secure contact with the rotating anilox and protecting and enhancing the performance of the doctor blade.

Our felt is manufactured to very tight tolerances, making it an ideal solution for the ever exacting nature of Flexographic printing.
From clear and tight control over the hardness of the seal through to the cut profile designed to match the surface of the anilox exactly, we can control every aspect of the seal manufacture.
The thermally reactive chemical used for seal impregnation has been designed to provide an excellent barrier between the felt and the anilox, and the felt provides a hidden benefit that no other type of seal can offer.
As the anilox rotates against the seal profile, the felt transfers a line, equal to its width, of its impregnation to the anilox face.
This barrier is constantly renewed as the specific characteristics of felt deliver a natural movement of the barrier medium to the anilox face.
This is unique in seal technology and absolutely no other type of seal can consistently renew the barrier on the anilox during the Flexo process.
Any other material that may use a barrier chemical applied to its surface, will lose that chemical immediately on contact with the anilox as it can only deliver what it contains on its face.
Felt, however, is fully impregnated and can hold up to 6X its own volume in barrier seal, making it the most effective flexographic seal available
